SARAH TATUM
Dear Scarlet Letter,
I am proud to announce that my sampler "Sara Tatum", from 1800, a Quaker piece
recently won every prize possible in our Weld County Fair. Weld County is the
largest County in Colorado. I entered the sampler on a whim, at the last minute.
It won a blue ribbon for the sampler category, champion over all stitchery,
grand champion over the open class division, (cakes, flowers, photography,
leather work, afghans, quilts, paintings etc. etc. ) and "Champion of Champions"
over all fair entries. Was I ever surprised and thrilled. I am still grinning.
The judge said the work was "absolutely exquisite". Just thought you would want
to know!
